My wife and daughter fitted this product on old, draughty sash windows. Tricky handling the large sheet but managed to stick and trim it and thought " what a mess" but when the hair dryer was applied, well, they were amazed ! From a crinkled, creased sheet to taught glass looking in seconds. It has stopped the draughts and reduced noise at the same time! If it lasts the winter it's money well spent.

This was easy to install. Used this last year without using a hairdryer, and probably do the same again. Used on several windows in a very windy location and it works well. May put a second film on a window that is higher, to create a secondary air gap of about 50mm. Not as clear as looking through the glass, but visibility is very good.

Be under no illusions, this is a temporary seasonal fix. It is somewhat flimsy and best done with two people but the results once the hairdryer has made it tight are quite impressive. Don't make the same mistake I did though, I assumed the folded edge was straight and as I was putting it on a large window I decided not to unfold it fully and used the one edge to measure from before cutting it. On unfolding it I discovered the edge was not straight and had a tear that extended into the fabric for 2 - 3 inches. It's a bit early yet to determine how effective it is but it is certainly better than nothing.
