I bought this to help with planing off a few old doors in-situ. Had a really old version of these once but this one is far better. It is necer going to take huge wedges off timber, but does a really good job of evening out thick edges without a great deal of fuss. Although plastic, seems very sturdy. Definitely a handy tool to have in the box

Sturdy plastic, and easy to maneuver. Chews through wood quite well, overall I'm happy with it!

Needed to do a small bit of planing on softwood and needed to get tight into a corner. Unfortunately after a couple of strokes the blade was blunt and of no use. I think a cheese grater would be more effective. A poor DIY tool and overpriced for what it is.
