Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well Installed this to switch on two up down lights at the front of my house. They have all been working for over a year without any problems. Would be helpful if it was supplied with a grommet, unless you are using conduit.

Hello Ginger795,

This can be wiured up to most lights.

It essentially provides a current to turn the light on under a set of circumstances.

In this case, lack of light.

If you have any installation queries, check them with a qualified electrician as we are not allowed to discuss them due to varying site environments.

Thank you for using Q and A.

The gasket occupies the depth of the 4 pins in the body so the photocell seems to sit better without the gasket in place,
but then what's the point of the gasket?

Answer:
Hello Gren1,

You should be able to secure the photocell on to the body through the gasket.

If the pins supplied are not long enough then we would recommend an exchange as it may just be a dodgy set of pins.

This can be done by popping into a local trade counter or by calling our customer services team on the number at the top of the page.

Thank you for using Q and A.
