Screw Extractor 5 Piece Set
Needed to remove a rusted in/damaged bolt form my wife's car so ordered this item online and dropped around to the store to pick it up. Very easy ordering and collection.
As advised I made a pilot hole and set about trying to set the extractor into the bolt but sadly all that hapened was the threads were stripped from the tool as it wasn't hard enough material to deal with the bolt so ended up having to drill it out.
Probably ok for normal woodwork type screws and bolts, but not for automotive bolts.

Excellent screw extractor
Remove damaged screw by drilling a pilot hole first, then use a larger extractor than you first think off, removed my problem screws in a door hinge first time, no problem

Essential part of any toolkit
Enabled me to remove damaged screws from the old hinges on a door I was restoring. Worked exactly as it should. Hint - you probably need to use a size larger than you initially think.
I can't comment on reliability as I have used it only once, but it worked for me!

Velcro has more strenth
Right after battling the traffic to get to screw fix it was a complete waste if money dident work I know what to do with these and still dident work thought it would be a. Easy way out. They might work on a brand new bolt which was screwed in by hand then cut off with a grinder but for a proper snapped bolt no chance. The best way to remove one is weld a nut on and job done.
