Screw Extractor 5 Piece Set
Spot welded screws removed from a security gate to access poor brickwork behind frame. Pilot drilled the screws with stainless steel bits and unscrewed them with one of the screw extractors. Made an awkward job simple.

I know that they are not expensive but I purchased these as I thought that I'd only need them for a specific job (4 screws in a door hinge). I even watched a couple of YouTube videos of how to use them. I did exactly as demonstrated and...nothing! I could not get them to engage the screw. I ended up using an old chisel and a set of gorilla grips to get the scews out.
Save your money and get good quality ones.

Needed to remove a rusted in/damaged bolt form my wife's car so ordered this item online and dropped around to the store to pick it up. Very easy ordering and collection.
As advised I made a pilot hole and set about trying to set the extractor into the bolt but sadly all that hapened was the threads were stripped from the tool as it wasn't hard enough material to deal with the bolt so ended up having to drill it out.
Probably ok for normal woodwork type screws and bolts, but not for automotive bolts.

Excellent screw extractor
Remove damaged screw by drilling a pilot hole first, then use a larger extractor than you first think off, removed my problem screws in a door hinge first time, no problem
