Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dan Good pump. Comes with iso flexis, quiet and decent quality. Good pressure for a single shower. Remember more pressure equals a quicker drain of your hot water so don't go mad and get a bigger pump if not needed,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shower pump Great little pump, great power, excellent value for money. All backed up by a brand leading warranty. Only negative is that all four pipes come out the top and all the hoses are straight. Most pumps I take out have two side entry pipes, so a little pipe work required. Overall still the one I'd opt for, I've fitted quite a few and will continue to do so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good pumps. I've fitted ten or so of these new type pumps now and I really rate them. 1.5 bar is a good shower without peeling your skin off and they are a compact quiet pump. The only issue is that you often have to alter pipework as the connections are different a lot of older types of pump (don't just bend the hoses folks!) and there are no isovalves on the hoses now.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Careful on guarantee Although pump is good, Salamander will not guarantee any install that is not off an Essex, Surrey or Salamander own flange. Not good if you have not budgeted for this or are retro fitting from any other HW take-off

Answer:
Our pumps come with hoses specifically made to work with our pumps, you wouldn't be able to use a standard flexible hose, you can either purchase the hoses from our technical team on 0191 516 2002 or you can purchase these from the website via this link: https://shop.salamanderpumps.co.uk/
if you call or go on the website for these you would need your serial number to ensure you get the correct hose for your pump.

Kind regards

Answer:
The CT50xtra pump is a gravity fed pump for both hot and cold sides. The seals in this pump would not cope with mains cold water pressure, the only pump we have that can be used directly on the mains would be the Home boost. The cold supply to the CT50xtra must be tank fed with a dedicated feed.

If you want to pump the hot water only against a cold mains we would advise a single universal pump e.g. the ESP80.

Answer:
There are two types of shower pumps, regenerative and centrifugal. The main difference between the two is the way the water is forced around the pump in order to increase the pressure. With a regenerative pump the water is forced around a housing using a 'toothed' wheel called an impeller. The water then hits a water block which forces the water from the housing. Centrifugal pumps use a different impeller and centrifugal force.

Answer:
The CT50+ Xtra can only be used to pump a single shower not a whole house. The only product we have that can be fitted to the incoming mains is Homeboost, which can raise the flow up to 12 litres per minute.
