Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shower Pump I fitted one of these in my home, as my existing (other supply and manufacture) one had packed up. It was very easy to fit and I have been impressed with its performance, I didn't realise how poor my old pump was, This one is much quieter and the pressure is just great, I'm now fitting one for a mates I recommended this Salamander pump, easy fit for me great shower for him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dan Good pump. Comes with iso flexis, quiet and decent quality. Good pressure for a single shower. Remember more pressure equals a quicker drain of your hot water so don't go mad and get a bigger pump if not needed,

I would like to use this pump to replace an existing unit that is leaking. The old unit has 22mm pipe to and from the pump. Will this pump work ok with 22mm pipe?

Asked by: Bloorey

What is the wattage of this pump as I need to install the proper gauge cable and MCB?

Asked by: PhillTE
dear customer, this pump has a 480 watt motor. Kind regards

I can get 22mm feeds to the pump. But can I use 15mm plastic pipe to the shower valve? It will be about 5mtrs away.. thank you…

Asked by: IStew
Dear Customer, The CT50+Xtra you are looking at can be fed with either 15mm or 22mm pipework depending on the pump location to the cylinder, on the outlet side it would be fine in 15mm for a 5m distance, I would say this pump has an entry level pressure for a small shower head, if you have a standard size shower head you would be better looking at the CT75Xtra. the pipework requirements are the same for the 50 and the 75 models. Kind regards

I would like to know if this pump will work, if it will be fixed under the bath for gravity system. It has positive head and water tank at the moment is in one of bedrooms, so it is on the same level as a bath, not higher.

Asked by: AR12
Dear Customer, The CT50+Xtra wouldn't be suitable for this as its a positive head and if the water is the same level as the cold water storage you would need a negative head pump. you can install a pump under the bath but it can be hard to meet the installation requirements, so we can check the suitability and also select the right pump for you could you please call our technical team on 0191 516 2002 and we will be happy to help

On and off

Does this pump turn on automatically when it registers flow and off when no flow.
Asked by: CROZZER
Dear Customer, The CT50+Xtra is a positive head pump and is activated from a flow switch To activate a positive head pump you need 4 litres per min on a mixed setting and 2 litres per min on fully hot or fully cold to be able to lift the floats and activate the pump. Kind regards
