Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little life saver First time I've used these, kicking myself for not doing so before, so quick and easy to use. No need for unsightly fittings and saved more than half the usual time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super product I had used similar reducers from other suppliers with mixed results. The fittings often leaked and needed aggressive tightening to seal. These are utterly brilliant - just tighten until you hear the click, then another 1/8 to 1/4 turn and they seal easily. Very neat as well - super product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job Moved a radiator and placed this inside a 15mm TRV valve on a 10mm pipe. Tighten till it split, then one more twist and olive was secure with no leaks. Does the job, reliability over time to be seen but cannot foresee any problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Works like a dream and I never even knew they existed until finding them on here. perfect if you want to match all your TRV's but they don't come in 10mm or as in my case, intend to change my pipe work at a later date to 15mm

Answer:
Hello alecmascot,

This product does not come with the olive included, we do sell products 47170 and 5435G that are 10mm olives.

Thank you for using Q & A.

Answer:
Having bought this reducer it is not possible to use a 15 or a 10mm olive and it would appear that the reducer is designed to form a watertight seal when it is fractured into two parts when the fitting nut is tightened.

These are new to me, previously I used the ones with an olive. I can't see any mention of anyone using any compound when using these one pc reducing sets, should I do so or not?

I am hoping to fit these with water in the system, I have done this before, was not a great problem before. (I do have a pipe freezer kit if needed). It's such a short length of pip coming you from a concrete floor I don't think I need bother too much.
Suggestions appreciated.
