Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Best at self drilling Using these with only a 2mm pilot hole broke quite a few of these fixings resulting in warped metal and making the hole larger than should have been. They also broke some of the plaster off, however if a pilot hole of 6mm is used these work perfectly and have secured all my internal wardrobes with these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good plasterboard fixings Good quality from Rawl and solid fixing in plasterboard. 6mm hole did me well and then screw the plug in and use the provided screws (4.5mm I believe)

could these hold weight of curtains

I have a number of curtain rails to fit in fairy new build. They are plasterboard on i presme some blockwork not on hollow walls so cant use usual fixings like toggles etc. Would these be able to hold curtain rail with medium weight curtains?
Asked by: Hertsboy
Hi, I would not recommend using this fixing into a non-hollow wall. a frame fixing or hammer in fixing would be more suitable such as the following: http://www.screwfix.com/p/rawlplug-universal-ffi-frame-fixings-10-x-80mm-50-pack/73615?_requestid=343328 http://www.screwfix.com/p/rawlplug-nylon-hammer-in-fixings-6-x-60mm-100-pack/4901f

What is the maximum weight you can hang from these please?

Asked by: johnnymalo
Hi, these fixings can safely support 6kg per fixing when installed into 9.5mm thick plasterboard or 8kg per fixing when installed into 12.5mm thick plasterboard.

What is '32mm' about this item? 'Product length' as website is useless.

Presumably what people need to know is the maximum (and minimum if there is one) thickness of the item to be fixed.
Asked by: DoItYouselfKeith
Hi, the thickness range that can be fixed is 0-10mm.
