Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 out of 3 failed I had to install two of these and took a third as I was working in a remote location, cheap materials used, two of the three failed, I thought I had made a mistake on the first one but I took it apart and I hadn't. I tried few tricks to stop it weeping from the joints but I had no joy. Will use the Honeywell ones next time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, two caveats. If used with 15mm pipe the initial breaking of the 22-15mm adapter takes quite a lot of force. You do get a noticeable crack as it goes and tightening is much easier until the fitting bites into the pipe. The pressure gauge worked OK but to avoid leaks it has to be tighten down so the gauge itself can be at any angle. In the limited space I had, I could not tighten the gauge down as when the unit was viewed from the side the gauge was edge on so it could not fit in place or be read. Not great problem for me as I did not really need a gauge fitted, I just used the supplied blanking piece

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish reducers The reducers are very difficult to seal properly when fitting to15mm pipes. Not worth the hassel, much easier to just buy a 15mm PRV.

can this vave be used on hot water pipe

i want to fit to shower freed to reduce hot water from 1.5 bar to 1 bar
Asked by: philippe21
Why on earth would you want to do that? You would hardly notice the difference! This valve is for redcucing pressure from a much higher level down to about 1.5 bar or 21 psi, normally on an incoming cold water main.

Who makes these valves and are they a direct replacement for the Comap model you used to sell?
Asked by: maub

How do you adjust the pressure rating of the PRV if it needs to be different to the 3bar factory setting?
