Rated 5 out of 5 by Exellent paint Purchased this paint to preserve coals on gas fire and renew back plate on gas fire, did a great job of refurbing the look of the fire. Dries matt black but can does not make clear. I will definitely buy again. 2 Nov 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent paint 2nd time I've bought this product. Bought to paint my minion wood burner, great covering, easy to use very quick drying. Once burnt in has provided far better protection than any paint I have used previously. This time for a darth Vader wood burner 3 Sep 2015

Or will the flame ruin the paint before it gets hot enough to cure? I don't have an oven big enough to bake the parts.

Cheers,

I am using it on my old BBQ which I have sanded down to get rid of the rust. After I have applied the paint, do I fire up the BBQ to "heat cure". I am aware that the paint is highly flammable. Do I leave it for an hour/day/week before using the BBQ.

Answer:
To cure the paint, in this instance just fire up the BBQ, close the lid and leave for 30-45 mins....might even be able to get away with less but thats what i would do.
