Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good valve, no issues. Existing shower mixer did not have a non return valve, so got this at the same time as a new hose. Hasnt got rubber washers, so got a cheap pack of those as well. Works a treat, and looks a good finish.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shower check valve Would be a lot better if they came with the rubber washers that are required to complete installation....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No Washer Included Just a heads up! No problem with valve itself, but buyers should be aware that they will need a rubber washer to retrofit this valve between the shower outlet and the hose, as it is not included in the pack. When fitting this valve you can re-use the original washer taken out of the existing joint for one of the two new joints created, but will need another like it for the other new joint. I'm pretty sure that other shower check valves that I've purchased in the past from other sources have included the necessary additional washer in the pack.

i have a shower attached to the mixe tap and have bought a new hose with a half inch ips attachment which won't connect to my taps, although the taps have 1/2 inch attachment it won't fit. I want to find a converter, would this work please?,

Is this WRAS approved?

Does this safely prevent back flow contamination of a shower head that could be submerged in water? Does this eliminate the need of a retaining clip on the riser rail?
Asked by: DCPlumbing
Hi DCPlumbing, As far as we are aware, this is not WRAS approved. It is normally fitted between the shower mixer and the shower hose to prevent possible back siphonage and contamination, not at the top end of the hose below the handset. I hope this information is of help to you.
