Mostly solvent, poor coverage
I used this on decking that hadn't been treated for a few years, and before applying the oil it was thoroughly pressure washed and left a few warm days to dry.
It soaked into the wood almost immediately, leaving very little enhancing effect and coverage was only around 3sq/m per litre, about half the suggested amount on the tin.
Another coat will obviously help, but this means I will have needed over £80 worth to cover my 30m/sq deck, which I think is pretty steep.
I have used Liberon decking oil in the past and it's much thicker, presumably containing more oil so goes further and enhances the wood a lot more. Although more expensive per litre, it would have cost less overall.

I didn't want to use stain on my new decking area outside the conservatory as the markings in the wood were lovely and I wanted to bring them out so I looked on web for a product which would do this. after reading the reviews on this product I purchased it. It was easy to apply (smells a little when its wet) with a brush and spread well, we applied 2 coats as per the instructions and my decking now looks amazing with all the natural markings showing through. The proofing this gives to the wood is brilliant - water just runs off it and now it is dry and soaked in there is no smell and no residue.

No Nonsense Decking Oil
Purchased two 5 litre clear cans as I ran out of a well known product. The screwfix product ir rubbish compared to the Liberon version I gave my decking four coats and it just looks the same like bare wood. The product smells and has the appearance of white spirit with no oil properties at all the premium products are well worth the extra money.
