Rated 5 out of 5 by Best priced around. Did the job fine for a decent price. What more can you want!? Used to coat some MDF shelves to stop them moulding. Went on fine. Also a bit of sealing plaster before painting. Again fine. Just mix with right amount of water if and as required. 21 Jul 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by PVA glue -good value Very good value glue -useful for mixing with paint for stage set design and other artistic pursuits that require a large amount of glue. Dries clear 15 Jun 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by 20 May 2016 By Anonymous Sitti Great stuff this PVA , it's best to use 4:1 if bonding plaster. Easy to use. Correct on the amount but a good tip is to put the rest in empty washing up bottles and let the kids play with it making projects or school work! 29 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what it says Used this to seal the new plaster in bathroom before applying a bathroom paint. Worked fine. Note sure how good or bad it is, as it is only a days since I used it. Although bought a lot for what I needed it for. I would have been fine with one kilo. So am now stuck with a lot of PVA glue and have no idea what to do with it. But that's the Screwfix's fault obviously. 20 May 2016

Want to stick a bit of wallpaper up on plasterboard. It's already painted with a porous Matt white paint. Will this stuff work for the job of being able to safely remove wallpaper if required at a later date?

Answer:
Hi Dave,

This product would be fine for sealing the plasterboard however I'd recommend using a more conventional wallpaper adhesive for hanging the paper, we sell two of these under codes 26023 and 76812.

Hope this helps.

The previous owners wallpapered over old paint. When removing the paper, some of paint has come off but some remains and is very difficult to remove. I would like to seal to wall by applying PVA before re-wallpapering. Is this possible?

Hello Rayza,

This product is the most suitable product to use on external walls, please look at the Cementone SBR Admixture White 5Ltr (91566) as this may be a suitable alternative.

Thank you for using Q & A.

Hello shaun100,

Every installation is different due to the varying circumstances of the site and environment.

Therefore we advise that you contact a local tradesperson who will be able to view and assess your particular requirements. They will be able to provide further advice for the installation of the PVA.

Thank you for using Q&A.

I plan to seal and paint our breeze blocks in the garage in spring.
I read elsewhere this should be watered down (or perhaps mixed with emulsion?) & used.
Can anyone say if that is right, and what sort of mix to use (50:50?)

Hi Mikeiow,

We would recommend using a dedicated sealer for this application such as the one in the link below.
