Rated 5 out of 5 by Self levelling compound Good product, mixes really well and goes off 5-6 hours depending on temperature. Had a rough garage floor, 30 kgs covered 10ft x 5ft. Bought another 5 which wasn;t enough so bought another 2 and Screwfix put the price up by 25 percent over night, very disapointed but the product is good 9 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Floor Levelling Compound So easy to use and you don't even need a bucket! Does what it's supposed to do - if you need to level a floor use this - I always will from now on. 20 Apr 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth every penny and some I bought this after reading the reviews and I have to go with them easy and simple to use brilliant 18 Apr 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by If in doubt please read After a 10 hour battle scrapping black mastic from a concrete floor, I still wasn't happy with the finish so thought I would give this a go. The bucket is very convenient, esp with the water fill mark. I used a mixer in a drill and it mixed very well in no time at all. The product comes in two separate bags, but doesn't go far so you would probably use both together. Then simply pour on the floor, make sure it reaches the walls and time to clean your tools. No fuss, no hassle, great results. A tad pricey, but in my opinion worth every penny and I am already planning my next job with this. 22 Mar 2016

1 Answer

Repairing my slab

My concrete slab had a chalky top layer, pressure washed this top 2-3mm dusty layer off, exposing the solid aggregate below.

Can I treat the slab with a concrete hardener prior to bonding and screed?

Or should I just bond and screed?

Thanks

Answer:
Hello DIY92658.
Unfortunately the Pro 50 Levelling Compound cannot be placed directly onto timber floor boards, our suppliers recommend to put a 15mm ply board down first then you can use the levelling compound.

Thank you for using Question and Answer.
