I have both the All metal and plastic Auto-cut versions and neither give any problems. The reason for obtaining the plastic version, was not the price, but is due solely to it being warmer on the hand in the winter/cold weather, and allows you to grip it longer.

Should have read the reviews before buying! Same problem as everyone else! Follow the instructions and all that happens is it dents the pipe, doesn't cut and doesn't rotate! Now I have to get the kids out of bed to go and get a cutter which WORKS!!!!

Such a useful compact pipe cutter, makes cutting pipes in obscure places so easy. Clip it on, twist it and job done. Had to cut some rad pipes back to under floorboards, this cutter made a five minute job of it. Definitely well recommended.

I already have an adjustable 15mm pipe cutter, but this can be a bit awkward in tight / confined spaces. I originally tried to purchase the Forge Steel 15mm & 22mm set, but it was not in stock. So I bought this cutter as I had to change the kitchen sink taps that day. The problem with it is that when you place the cutter around the pipe, you have to be careful not to close the gate (yellow part of the cutter) complely. As this forces the cutting wheel straight through the pipe (rather than cutting through gradually as cutter is rotated), flattening that side of the pipe. This then causes problems getting any further fittings on the pipe, & more importantly, a watertight seal....
