Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beats more expensive equipment At 81 years of age , all new things , that I use and buy, must be simple. This ticks all the boxes !!! The added bonus is the price. WELL DONE SCREWFIX.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Bit of Kit Great bit of kit for setting up a simple sprinkler system for a few days away in the summer, i set it up with the digital timer, saved the £500+ plants from dying while we were away.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buy a better quality product The only quality component in this kit is the tubing. The rest is very poor. The nozzles continually pop out under water pressure, which assumes the pressure reducing valve is suspect. The dribble you get from the nozzles does not irrigate more than a few inches around it - if at all. I have now 'rigged' a working setup using a couple of sets of Hozelock adjustable spray nozzles on the ends of 6" lengths of tubes held to basic tent pegs. I used the original kit's T-pieces along the main tube to connect the uprights. All worked fine whilst on holiday. The moral of the story is 'buy a decent kit in the first place even though it is more expensive'.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cant stand the pressure The kit contains a handy selection of bits and pieces to put together a home irrigation system. The 20m of irrigation hose is ideal. Unfortunately the pressure regulator in the set I bought didn't work at all. Even with the garden tap opened to a minimum, the pressure relief valve sprayed water all over the place. Still not a bad setup even given the fact I've got to go and buy another valve...

Can this be connected to an ordinary hose

I want to irrigate an area which is 20 meters away from the tap so there is an ordinary garden hose going up to that area currently connected to a sprinkler. I want to be able to connect this system to the hose near the area and NOT the tap.

Hi Anonymous, The instructions indicate that the connector on to the irrigation hose has a standard (female?) tap connection. With a suitable connector (male - male?) it should be possible to then connect it to a garden hose. Thank you for using Q&A. PB

Will this work

Wil this work of a gravity feed tank or just mains only
Asked by: Kazbaz
Hello, This item has a bar pressure rating of 0.1-4.0 Bar, provided that the pressure at the outlet is within these specifications then this should be fine. Thank you for using Q&A.

The item description doesn't actually say what size area the product waters. Are you able to tell me?

Tap Connection for use with Micro Irrigation System

Which "Y" connector is suitable for tap (Hoselock or Verve or any type) so tap can be used for other services as well
Asked by: DavidD55
DavidD55, The only product that we sell that might be suitable is the 2-Way BSP Dual Tap Connector ¾" (Product Code 90049). If the Hozelock and Verve versions look like this, they should also be suitable to split the water supply. I hope this information is of help to you.

Pressure reducing valve does not seem to work, blows some drippers of. How far in should tube be fitted into valve? There is no mention of how to fit this in the rather vague instructions

Without a solution to this the kit is of no use to me.
