Rated 4 out of 5Â by matelot quieter than a ceiling fan
Bought as replacement for ceiling fan of similar capacity which always kept the bathroom reasonably steam- and smell-free but was noisy - the ceiling plasterboard probably amplified the noise as well. This fan is so QUIET you have to listen carefully to know that it is running.
Mounted the fan on a wooden block fixed to a wall in the loft, rather than on a ceiling joist, so that probably helps as well.
No problem to fit. Liked the slots on the mounting bracket which enable the wiring to be done and the cover fitted before sliding the fan into place and tightening the screws. Mounting the fan sideways has left the cover accessible for running time adjustment.
Cable ties supplied to secure the duct - simple, effective, but difficult to remove and re-fit if you have to . . .
The old ceiling fan lasted over eight years so I cannot really vouch for reliability of this new one yet.

Good value product.
Straightforward to install.
Product must have had an 'update' at some point because the run-on timer adjuster slot no longer lined up with the access hatch in cover. had to partly disassemble to adjust.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by nickname1 Extract fan kit
Excellent kit, everything there, easy to fit, works well. One tip you are better fitting it to the sloping roof joist rather than the horizontal rafter that the ceiling is nailed up to, it's quieter that way

Rated 1 out of 5Â by BuilderReg poor extraction rate
Okay, it rates itself as 85m3 per hour. Impressive. Having had it professionally fitted and going through 2 metres of 100mm ducting I was very impressed with it at the price.
A month later we had damp problems in the bathroom and on investigating we found that this unit has a very poor extraction rate once connected to pipework, i.e. the fan has little power. It wouldn't even hold a piece of paper against the ceiling so we're now scrapping two of these for more uprated and powerful fans.
