Rated 2 out of 5 by from Couldn't get to work Got this as it was one of the only chrome effect version available, yet the chrome front is just cheap plastic. First one I purchased was scratched which was swapped for a new one. On installing though (with standard 3 core cable) we couldn't get it to work. Whatever format of wiring we tried, just dead. My dad is an electrician too. Wiring to the unit is a complete pain too, through a hole then connecting to a flimsy circuit board that kept falling out with connectors at the opposite end. In the end just cleaned and put back up my 10 year old VentAxia silhouette 100. Easy to wire in with live, neutral, earth straight in the side. Word of warning too, this unit is round not square fitting so you only have about 5mm for fixings around a cut hole. Likely a hassle in a tiled bathroom.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good price but wiring a faff! Fairly light weight and reasonable build quality for the price tag. Fitted snug in the existing hole. Only problem was getting the cable in, cover unscrews with a single screw in the centre of the inlet of the fan, and the mains cable feeds in from the opposite side to the terminals, the fan wire looked already nipped from the factory install of the cover. if your using single core flat cable, which seems to be what the cable guide is made for, there is a bit of forcing to get his back into the fan housing. Also you cant see if you nipping the fan cable. Once everything is sitting correctly, it comes together well. they could make this easier for cable/wire entry to keep the swearing down on install

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice looking fan Bought 2 of these for bathroom and ensuite. As we had chrome fittings wanted something that matched. They look nice and modern and perform well although slightly noisier than I had expected. However happy with them and service from Screwfix exceptional as usual.

Is & What transformer is needed

Purchased this to replace a fan that stopped working - there's no power coming from the original wiring does that mean that there is a transformer somewhere that needs replacing? and what transformer do I need - can't see any mention of one in the specs!
Asked by: 59me
The 'LP100ST'/Screwfix '12473' is a Mains Voltage Fan (220-240V) so there will be no need for a Transformer to power the Fan. If you have no power coming from the original wiring, you may need to contact an Electrician.

Having trouble getting the fan to work as a standard transformer?

I've have followed the I structions, but I have power going to the transformer but not the fan?
Asked by: Ste1234
Hello, this fan is a 240v fan, a transformer would not work in conjunction with this unit. If you are looking for a low voltage LP unit, I would recommend the Manrose code LP100SLVC (note you would need a T12 transformer to work in conjunction with this low voltage unit).
