Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor connections I have installed many fans but this one was the worst ever when you take off the cover to connect your 3core cable it is incredibly awkward to do,the way you have to bend the cable into place and the fact the circuit board keeps popping out when your trying to screw the cover back into place for me not worth my time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value for money Easy to install, quiet and extracts well. Screw covers hide screws and sits very flat to wall

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Couldn't get to work Got this as it was one of the only chrome effect version available, yet the chrome front is just cheap plastic. First one I purchased was scratched which was swapped for a new one. On installing though (with standard 3 core cable) we couldn't get it to work. Whatever format of wiring we tried, just dead. My dad is an electrician too. Wiring to the unit is a complete pain too, through a hole then connecting to a flimsy circuit board that kept falling out with connectors at the opposite end. In the end just cleaned and put back up my 10 year old VentAxia silhouette 100. Easy to wire in with live, neutral, earth straight in the side. Word of warning too, this unit is round not square fitting so you only have about 5mm for fixings around a cut hole. Likely a hassle in a tiled bathroom.

Top or Bottom left hand cable entry or top or bottom right hand cable entry?

Asked by: GOTTA
Hello, When looking at the fan face-on, the cable entry is in the centre, on the right hand side. The terminal block of the unit is located centrally of the fan.

Hi Is this fan ip44 rated if so it is compliant in zone 1 as long as its RCD protected

Asked by: Sp4rk
The LP100ST/12473 has an Ingress Protection Rating of IP44 (IPX4). Unfortunately Manrose Manufacturing recommends Low Voltage SELV (12V) Fans to be used in Zone 1. The Manufacturers Instructions will state that the LP100ST/12473 is not suitable for Zone 1, which would supersede the Regulation.

Hello. Is there a roof vent kit for this suited for normal slate roof? Can you please advise with product code.

Can your please also advise which ducting to use with roof vent with product codes please.
Asked by: Mosid
Hello, It is best practice to use a vent with the highest free area, and which is suitable for adapting 100mm ducting. It it best practice to always maintain the same duct size/system throughout an installation. A 3m length of flexible ducting is product reference code of 18232. Ensure when installing that the duct is pulled tight and taut with minimal kinks and sags to maximise performance values. However, we would personally recommend the use of a solid duct to minimise resistance. Hope this helps.
