Rated 5 out of 5 by Well designed and well made I've had this router for 11 months now and it has seen regular use on a variety of hardwood and softwood furniture building projects. It's a solid, well-designed and well-made bit of kit. It's handled edge-routing, trimming, dadoes, rabbets and pattern cutting without missing a beat. It's a shame that it doesn't come with a case but that's not enough for me to mark it down. You can buy a plunge base separately so I'm currently considering doing that rather than buying a plunge router. 6 Jul 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by So easy to use I have used routers for years but after trying a friends had to buy this one. Soft start, well balance, easy to use single handed and plenty of power. 13 Apr 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Palm router Great little router, I swapped this out for my Bosch and it's got more power and smoother running especially with the speed dial. Great item well worth swapping Bosch for this 26 Nov 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great I opted for this after returning the Bosch palm router as it didn't have speed adjustment. Screwfix were very helpful and returned it for swap. They did not carry this one in stock which is a shame as I would have got it in the first place. Used it a couple of times, worked perfect easy to use, would happily buy again. The only negative i can find is that it comes in a box not in a case. It is not a tool i leave out on a work bench so it goes back in the box between uses but this will only last so long. It came with an attachment for dust extraction and also a guide to run along edges. 18 Sep 2015

From the pictures on the site and in the manual the base looks circular, unlike the Bosch palm router which is rectangular. Can you confirm this is the case? Is the circularity accurate and is there any play between the base and the 4 screws that hold it in place?

I need to run it around the inside of a template and if the base is circular it will need to follow the template accurately, whatever the orientation of the router.

Are spare bases available?

Hope that makes sense and thanks.

I suspect that it can but want to be sure. The table I have can be easily modified to take any required fixing positions.
