All my tools are makita, so when I needed a grinder I didn't look at anything else as all my batteries fit, plus you don't need to carry extension leads around everywhere, and it cuts/grinds just as good as the corded version.

Makita DGA452Z 4½" Grinder
I use one of these at work, they are tough and durable, so seemed to be the best choice to get one for home, admittedly more expensive than a mains voltage one but it's a matter of personal preference, I think the convenience of having a tool that does not have to be plugged in, so worth paying the extra, buying the bare unit makes it cheaper and you don't need all the extra charging units when you already have one, one battery does them all, although I do have more than one battery, overall I would recommend this tool and the brand, they are well built and made to last.

Amazing little tool
Can't belive I haven't got one sooner, a great tool to have just by your side and not worrying about running leads all over the place. Also very small and light to other grinders I have had in the past.
