Rated 1 out of 5 by slow drying takes hours & hours to dry. don't buy if you are wanting to complete job within a week!! 28 Jul 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cannot recommend. I bought this paint on the strength of previous reviews, to paint brand new MDF skirtings & architraves. . At the time of painting (September 2015), I was very impressed. The paint went a long way, was a very bright white and spread and flattened really well. I was initially very pleased with the results. . However in about March this year, (approx 6-7 months later), I noticed that they have all since yellowed significantly. Compared to the bright white emulsion on the walls that I also painted last year, the architraves are now visibly cream / pale yellow instead of the original white. . I realize this is solvent-based paint but most reviews here seem to state this is quite resistant to yellowing and I did not expect it to deteriorate so quickly. Because of this i cannot recommend anyone buy this product. As for me, I will be repainting over this with a water-based satin finish in future. 28 Jul 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not white! Have used on skirting and doors for two rooms but next to the white walls and previous white satinwood door it has dried with a yellowish tinge. Going to have to buy another brand and redo job. So no would not recommend! 3 Jul 2016

Hi
There is a range of Leyland Primers you can use for all sort of different surfaces, however if you've primed already it will be fine to paint over with Leyland Trade Satinwood.

Answer:
Hello Rofferton. as you wanting to apply a mid sheen paint over a high sheen paint, I would recommend using an undercoat prior to using the satin. Undercoats are designed to adhere properly to previously painted surfaces, further promoting adhesion for subsequently applied topcoats. Thanks

Hello. The Leyland Trade Satinwood is not formulated to be used externally. If you would like a satin finish, I would recommend using Leyland Trade Fast Drying Satin, combined with Leyland Trade Fast Drying Undercoat. If you would like a gloss finish, the Leyland Trade High Gloss can be used externally. Thanks

Answer:
Hello. The Leyland Trade Satinwood is a solvent based product. Therefore during it's drying and curing time it will give off a strong smell. If you wish to use a low odour product in a satin finish, I would recommend using the Leyland Trade Fast Drying Satin. Thanks
