Rated 5 out of 5 by It's the only one to use You may think as its a trade paint its thin and watery. Forget it its not. The coverage is superb and covered my old yellow paint in one coat. With two dogs running around the drying time was important and it didn't let me down being touch dry in 30 mins. Hardly any smell either. The finish was great with just under a full gloss sheen, really nice. Use a good quality pure bristle brush as I found the synthetic brushes did not lay the paint that well. Don't stir the paint, wash brushes in warm soapy water as stated on the tin. Forget all other makes of paint this is the best one I have ever used and will always be the paint I will use for all my other rooms in the future. 4 Sep 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Stuff, covers well Water based, so none of the faff with oil based. Covers well and flows well, I only threw it on in a hurry and still got a good finish. Lovely shine to it, different quality to oil, I think better. Dries very quickly, so by the time you've finished the end of your job, you're almost ready, after a cuppa, to go back to the beginning for the second coat to those areas that may need it (corners or edgings etc, cover flat surfaces brilliantly). Oh, and cheapest available right now for similar products at main shops, I checked. 3 Sep 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent, such a time saver My house has wooden windows which I can't afford to replace or have someone else paint. Painting even one set with oil based gloss is a major undertaking due to the long drying time and all our windows end up either stuck shut or with marks from sticking. This paint however is fantastic. Painting my son's windows yesterday I had them off, painted with two coats and back on again before his bed time. It was a warm summer day and it seemed to dry almost as fast as emulsion. Perhaps the finish isn't quite as shinny as oil gloss but it's not far off and yes, if doesn't cure quite the same so you can notice some brush marks but, certainly for the outside of first floor windows, this really isn't a problem. I last used a water based gloss about six years ago and swore never again but clearly paint technology has moved on as this was superb. All the above AND being able to wash the brush in water means it's probably the only gloss I'll use from now. 30 Aug 2016

Will this resist marking or pealing? Unlike what I have read with other water based gloss that peal from the surface if knocked by the vacuume cleaner for example.

What primer is best suited to stop the peeling ?

Hi Again

Yes the paint is tough and durable but you do need to rub the existing paint finish down with sand paper and make sure its clean. The performance of the paint will be reduced if the surfaces are not prepared and will not stick as well - its all about the preparation!!

I've painted in Dulux gloss approximately 12 months ago and it has turned cream...... So I am looking for a suitable undercoat to cover this yellowing gloss in case it bleeds through and some reassuring that the layland gloss paint will then stay white.

Hi
No, this is not sprayable unfortunately - best results are achieved by brush applying the paint.

Hello RogerRoger. Yes this product is formulated to be used both internally and externally. I Would suggest a coat of the Leyland Trade Fast Drying Undercoat prior to overcoating with the gloss. Thanks

Hello Kevinbw. Yes this will be fine. however I would advise laying off any areas you roll with a good quality synthetic brush, to remove any 'stippled' effect a roller might leave. Thanks
