Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unreliable Very good while they work, but my first failed after 10 months, by no longer turning on at dusk. This was replaced under warranty, but the second has now failed in the same way 1 week outside the 1 year guarantee. Was located inside a porch so kept dry. Will try a different brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job perfectly Well made, easy to fit, easy to set up..works perfectly. I had to mount it in a place which is north facing, with a fairly low ambient light level that I thought might cause problems, but it works with no problem. Can't comment on reliability as I've only had it working for a couple of days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very reliable photocell sensor I purchased this to control my garden lighting. I have 2 x BG 4-Way Weatherproof Power Controller (20964) to control all my Koi pond needs. I looked at various sensors and found this to be the best product suited to my needs. Its compact and easy to install. I have it set dusk to dawn,. controlling four LED wall lights and a three arm street lamp. It works flawlessly.

Does the photocell work with 20x 4Watt LED Down Lights.

Before I Purchase can Someone Advise me
Asked by: Maccumsok
Hi Maccumsok, Unfortunately Screwfix is unable to offer installation or usage advice other than that contained in the manufacturer’s instructions. The Instructions say this product is capable of handling the following maximum total wattages for lighting. Incandescant 500Watts, Tungsten Halogen 1000Watts, Fluorescent 250Watts and CFL (energy saving lamps) 200Watts. As far as we are aware, it should be able to handle 20 x 4W = 80Watts LED's. We hope this information is of help to you. Thank you for using Q&A. PB

" On Times "

Hi, can you please tel me the available ' On Times ' that this unit can be set for ? as in is it possible to use it for the lights to stay on for say 12 hours or does the 'lux' setting overide this? Thanks in aadvance
Asked by: Jimbobbski

Does the photocell works with your LAP L2616 LED bulk head light. Once the sensorr has activated will the lights stay on for 2,4 or 8 hours regardless of any ambient light as the sensor will be in the light field of the connected lights. Thanks

Asked by: Coronationchickenegg
Hello Coronationchickenegg, Every installation is different due to the varying circumstances of the site and environment. Therefore we advise that you contact a local tradesperson who will be able to view and assess your particular requirements. They will be able to provide further advice for the installation of the Photocell. Thank you for using Q&A.

Is this sensor suitable for use with low power (2W) LED bulbs?

Asked by: Rupe1
Hello Rupe1, This photocell is suitable for use with low watt lamps, but bare in mind compatibility with the photocell does depend somewhat on the light fitting & lamp themselves as well. Thank you for using Q&A
