LAP 1-Gang 45A DP Cooker Switch with Neon White
Hard to install
I was installing this switch into a recessed box for which I needed to knock a hole in hard brick. Because the connectors are at 90 degrees to the wall the cable has to be turned. 45 amp cable has a 'turning circle' which meant that the box needed to be deep. The brick was too hard and I had to return it. A flush fitting would be better with connectors parallel to the wall

cheap, check connections
If this is a replacement check which side you need feed and load in case your cable is too short to swap around. This one has feed on the bottom.
This isn't a fault of the switch, just annoying that only some pictures have the back and screwfix don't mention it.
As for the switch, the led wires are messy, the box feels flimsy and ready to snap.
I changed to the british general one for a few pence more and it's a million times better in all respects.

Good value that works.
LAP products are not the easiest to wire up due to positions of conections and grub screws. Some other makes are a better design, but you can't grumble at the value for money...

Looks good, all as expected, only marked reliability down a bit as not had it installed yet, so only time will tell.
