Rated 5 out of 5 by from A New Level ! Wow, bought and used this filter system today and I've no idea how I ever managed without it. I've always used disposable filters and then disposed of my glasses and then the filters themselves after 10 minutes of sweating and steaming. this filter system is really quite superb ... ultra comfortable and a superb fit in the face. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mask Bought the mask separate from the filters, as buying separate saves £1.01. Works great, 2 days of grinding 60year old rust from a classic car and no dust ingress into mask or lungs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not suitable Despite others saying this could be used by a person wearing glasses there was no way I could have used it with glasses so have had to return it and look elsewhere

does the wearer need to be clean shaven to get a proper seal/fit?

Asked by: SVB66
Yes it is extremely important to be clean shaven in the area of the face seal when using any tight-fitting respirator. This includes half and full face masks. Any facial hair or stubble in this area can break the seal of the mask and allow the contaminate to leak in. This is also true of things such as moles and facial injuries that can occur in the face seal area.

How often should the filter cartridges be replaced?

Asked by: Zigg
Filter replacement is a difficult one, it will depend on the amount of hazard being genearted and the respiration rate of the wearer. In a low dust envirnoment where effective extraction is being used and the wearer is not working hard then the filter will last a lot longer than in a very dusty envirnoment where the wearer is hard at work. In general, when the dust filter starts to block the mask will begin to pull into the face - time to change. With gas filters, as the wearer notices an increase in smell then it is time to change the filters. Filters should not be used for more than 28 days from first use, however in many cases you will not get this much life from the product. The best rule of thumb is to use the filters for no more than a week, 5 working days. In a heavily contaminated/dusty envirnoment, the filters may not last this long.

Is this suitable for use with removing corrugated asbestos cement roofing? If so which filters are required?

Asked by: kiss
The P3 Filters will be suitable 5756F if only slight movement of asbestos. If the user is removing and breaking up of asbestos in a Industrial operation then Air fed respiratory must be used to fully secure the user.
