 by Oldtrades Fantastic for problems
A customer had a leak on a tee beneath the floor awkward to get to and impossible to get dry so had to be compression or push fit impossible to get any tools in the small space so decided on push fit worked a treat ,from drain down to floor back 2 hours ,what I thought was going to be a problem turned out well thanks to the slip coupling.Only draw back was the tee it was replacing was 22 , 22, 15 centre so had to have another fitting to reduce down .

When a T needs to be inserted into an existing pipe run with no give to pull apart for say, a compression joint, there's nothing else (of which I'm aware) that will allow the job to be done at all.
Slight downside is that the ID is reduced by the nature of the fitting, so for a low pressure system there could be an impact on flow rate.
