Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXPENSIVE, BUT THE BEST. I tried some cheaper products just a waste of money and time, after reading the reviews about ISOFLEX liquid rubber I thought I give it a try, well it certainly looks like a good strong stuff, sticks to everything and anything.I refelted my shed bought 1 tin of 4.25L just to seal around the edges and joints this stuff looks so good I realy should have just got this stuff in the first place and painted the whole roof with it without refelting but thats too late. I have now decided to prolong the new felt life by painting it all over with ISOFLEX and hope it lasts as long as it says on the tin,yes its expensive stuff but I think its worth it in the long run, if it lasts as long as they say and SCREW FIX is cheaper than all the other big names,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from isoflex liquid rubber roof looks awesome after application, for me i got saucepan big enough for 4.25 liter tin, then put some boiling water into saucepan then unopened tin into water up to half way up tin, left tin for 5 mins then took tin out and gave it a shake then put tin back in saucepan for another 10 mins, then gave it another shake then when opened tin gave it a good stir, also stir tin during application,2 tins were enough for me on flat a roof 3 meter by 2 and a half meter with a bit left over , i would recommend to use primer first and just pour and roll out, just use cheap roller and brush,i applied isoflex when temp outside was about 20 degrees

Rated 5 out of 5 by from rubbery goo2 Great stuff. Repaired a badly holed flat roof and sealed it, Easy (but messy) to apply. Immersing the unopened can in hot water for a bit makes if easier. Also fill holes with bitumen and let it set first. 2 coats and no sign of leaks. Looks like a new (shiny) rubber roof.

Can it be used for a fibreglass roof?

My roof is a grey fibreglass roof as far as I know. Will it be OK to use on it? I already have crack filled with Everbuild Evercryl One Coat Compound and it sealed it straight away.
Asked by: Anonymous
Thanks for your question. That will be fine just ensure the surface to be treated is clean and dry.

Primer

It is suggested that you use the Isoflex primer, prior to painting the rubber layer. I cannot find anywhere that actually stocks this - is there an alternative?
Asked by: Keith76
Thanks for your question, sorry no we don't have an alternative to the primer.

Could I use this on Felt flat roof? What should I do prior to application? How long would this last or guarantee?

Asked by: mezac
Thanks for your question. Yes the product is ideal for use on a flat felt roof. The pack contains detailed preparation information but importantly the roof should be free of any loose chippings and be clean and dry and free from any dirt, moss etc. If the surface is prepared well and the correct amount of product used, 1 litre per square metre, we would expect the product to last in excess of 10 years.

Use in damp conditions

Can this be applied where the felt roof is damp/little wet from the recent rain? Will it adhere in these cold damp conditions if the felt is damp from rain fall? Will it also adhere to flashing tape on the edges of my roof?
Asked by: Sajs
Thanks for your question. Yes application to a damp surface is possible, generally cold conditions, provided it's above freezing, won't be an issue either. Provided the flashing tape is clean again adhesion won't be an issue.

Could this be used to repair a rubber flat roof? Do I need to prime the rubber roof? Thanks

Asked by: saved
Thanks for your question, unfortunately on a rubber flat roof we could not guarantee the effectiveness of the Isoflex as it may not bond sufficiently. Even with the use of the primer we could still not recommend its use and we also have concerns about the effect the primer may have on the integrity of the substrate.

Just trying to hide the concrete drive but also want it a bit thicker than paint to hide any imperfections

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately not, Isoflex is not suitable for areas subject to foot traffic or heavy wear.

Thanks for your question. Yes Isoflex Liquid Rubber can be used on lead roofing surfaces and gutters. We do however recommend the use of Isoflex Special Primer prior to application to lead.
