Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water absorption problem Hi, Firstly, I would like to mention that isoflex was applied according to the instructions on the can and the surface was cleaned before application. It rained 4 days after application. After 2 weeks, I realised that isoflex turned to greyish colour. When I closely examined, the thick regions turned to sponge with water absorbed inside. Water bubbles were coming from inside when I apply pressure with my finger, and that's why the colour turned into greyish. Polymers absorb humidity, but this amount of absorption and change of chemical composition is unacceptable. Furthermore, it is not a cheap product. Now I have a roof with scattered grey colour regions. Please avoid this product. I can send you photos of the result.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good Tried a few other roof sealers but none are as tough and rubbery as this. It's reassuringly thick to apply and plugs any flat roof leaks you can find. The only downside is it's quite expensive but if it last 5 years it's paid for itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product Have used a few tins of this recently, although it's not cheap it is incredibly good... Really easy to apply (although need to chuck the brush after, so use a cheap one..!!) Have used for repairs in rubber roofs, felt roofs and sealing suspect edges and in every instance has worked perfectly all I would say is that you have to give it a really good stir first off

I am just wondering how many thins I would need as there appears to be no mention of how many square metres a tin covers, does anyone know much a tin will cover?

Thanks for your question. Isoflex covers 1 square metre per litre so the 2.1 litre can will cover just over 2 square metres.

Thanks for your question. I would have to advise caution in this instance as I'm unsure what reaction the Isoflex would have with the gel coat, sorry just can't recommend Isoflex for this application.

Answer:
Unfortunately we do not recommend painting over Isoflex Liquid Rubber. Isoflex is highly flexible and this would lead to breakdown in any subsequent paint applied as a top coat. We would also not be able to guarantee the adhesion of the masonry paint to Isoflex.
