Useful for the hard to access
Purchased this morning and used most of the day and have to say, it has been very useful.
I understand the negative reviews as spent 10-15 minutes (there are no instructions) wondering what a complete piece of junk! Like others, i tried to use the saw but the blade slipped.
The secret seems to be to remove the holding nut and turn it round and screw it in from the opposite side. It holds the blade in place perfectly then. Since doing this, it has not slipped at all.
Got to add though, if this is the way the saw is intended to be used, then include some instructions indicating this then there would not be so much negative feedback

Good little tool but...
Bought this tool to cut plastic waste pipe in a very confined space. The blade
Was so thin and weak unable to use it. The tool itself was sturdy and would work in tight spaces very well with a better blade. If you buy this tool you will will have a great tool for confined spaces as long as you buy a better blade

Poor design/not Irwin quality
Unfortunately I had to return this product as it is very badly designed and therefore does not hold the blades properly with the silly little cross head screw clamp design. I found no matter how hard I tightened the clamp screw I could not make it grip the blade properly and the minute you put some effort into cutiing a thin bit of sheet metal the blade just slipped in the clamp! Sadly I had to return it the same day. The Bahco 208 has a much better design and works brilliantly in comparison - you get what you pay for I guess as the Bahco is more pricey but does actually work!

Does exactly what it should
Perfect tool when you drill through a pipe and need to cut a piece out when buried in wall!
Only down side but could be a positive in different situation is that the blade can come through the bottom of the handle which can hurt when you didn't realise it did!
