Unfortunately I had to return this product as it is very badly designed and therefore does not hold the blades properly with the silly little cross head screw clamp design. I found no matter how hard I tightened the clamp screw I could not make it grip the blade properly and the minute you put some effort into cutiing a thin bit of sheet metal the blade just slipped in the clamp! Sadly I had to return it the same day. The Bahco 208 has a much better design and works brilliantly in comparison - you get what you pay for I guess as the Bahco is more pricey but does actually work!

Perfect tool when you drill through a pipe and need to cut a piece out when buried in wall!
Only down side but could be a positive in different situation is that the blade can come through the bottom of the handle which can hurt when you didn't realise it did!

I needed a pad saw for a particular job and came across this hacksaw in the Screwfix catalogue. It's a handy tool to have in the workshop as it can be used two-handed and get into awkward places.

I've thoroughly given up on Irwin products now, this being the last straw (the last saws I bought were blunt within a day or two's use and their pipe bender is identical to the no-brand Chinese ones, just with a different colour).
The idea is great, the execution is somewhat less so - no matter how hard you tighten the screw, the blade slips out almost constantly on the cutting stroke.
I ended up giving up and using the blade on its own with a bit of duct tape wrapped around for a handle - got the job done in less than half the time I had already wasted trying to get this thing to work.
