Hot Water Cylinder Jacket 18" x 48"
Wanted to improve efficiency in the home and fitting a cylinder jacket is one of the cheapest and most effective things you can do. Found Screwfix had the cheapest price for this. Simple to fit and hopefully we will now notice a reduction in our energy costs.

Screwfix list this as 18" x 48" but it's actually 18" x 42" and that's the package label not an actual measurement. Other than that it's just 4 plastic bags filled with loft insulation and a few bits of ribbon to tie it onto the cylinder. The bags are not tapered at the top, just rectangular in shape but it serves its purpose and is reasonably priced. They really ought to correct the size mistake as I actually have a 48 x 18 cylinder and ended up a bit short at the bottom but as most of the heat you're trying to contain is at the top, it's not such a big deal.

Very Thin, but Easy to Fit
Bought two of these jackets to fit on a combined cylinder fitted very close to outside wall.
Two jackets in one cardboard box, which had been sliced open to check contents prior to delivery. Knife had obviously caught one of the rolls of insulation, but had only sliced about 6" of plastic covering, so not worth the hassle of returning product.
Long ties supplied with jackets, and panels are supple enough to be folded / wrapped around awkward areas / immersion heater / stop cock etc.
Too soon to say about performance or reliability.

does what it says on the can; excellent insulation (stick your hand under and there's incredible warmth retained within the jacket even on top of the pre-existent few cm of foam)
Great price too
Everyone should install one of these without question
