Rated 4 out of 5 by from SDS Drill Good quality tool. Only recently purchased and used it once so still have to see how it holds up. My first SDS so still getting to grips with the product. Did not realise that SDS has special chuck, my fault for not understanding so need the additional chuck converter if want to use as standard hammer drill without SDS bits. The hammer action is fairly powerful for a lightweight SDS. Good practical case."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent SDS Hammer Drill Excellent SDS Hammer Drill. Very good weight for any maintenance tasks. Impressed that it has a hammer/drill function as well as a hammer function. Excellent price for this machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from More power in my daughters toy This is fine if you want to drill a hole for a plud and screw.... The sort of jobs you would use a combi drill for.... Not for any heavy works or even medium works. Thoroughly disappointing, it will be going back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from superb entry level sds A high quality tool. The only possible complaint is the slightly short power cable, but that is easily fixed. I haven't given it much stick over the 6 months I've had it, hence can't comment on reliability, however it makes light work of plaster, brick, etc. The hammer action is fairly powerful for such a lightweight sds, but for heavy work you'll need something bigger. The case is solid too, I haven't dropped it down the stairs yet, but it is durable plastic. For the price, really seems extremely good.

Answer:
Both are correct. Some Hitachi power tools can be extended to a three year warranty when registered within 28 days of purchase please visit www.screwfix.com/warranty for more information on power tool extended warranties. If you do not register the qualifying products within the stated time, then as standard this product has a one year manufacturer's guarantee.
