Rated 5 out of 5 by It weighs a tonne Don't go by the specifications which state that it weighs 14045 kg - nearly 1.5 tonnes!!!!!! It also uses electricity 11.5W according to the specs. Methinks Screwfix need to revise them. 16 Nov 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Buy a Black & Decker Fiddly to put together and a pain to unfold. Legs don't lock out properly so it never seems to feel stable, even on completely flat ground. Clamp handles/screw feels light weight and cheap - I don't dare tighten it too far for fear of breaking it. For the price probably ok, but I wish I had stretched to a proper B&D workmate. 26 Oct 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst workbench ever? The Forge Steel Multifunction (don't make me laugh!) Workbench. I rank this product among the worst purchases that I've ever made. After taking back the first one as it was unassembled in the box with parts missing, you'd be excused for thinking I'd learnt my lesson there, but no! Not I. I duly exchanged it for an assembled one and trotted off home. The first use went ok but on the second use (about a fortnight later) is where it started to fall apart quite literally. The legs started to distort although nothing heavier than 10 or 15kg had been placed on it. The top became all but impossible to adjust and both of the screw mechanisms broke free from their anchors rendering it nothing more than a table with a gap in the middle. I've had Black and Decker Workmates in the past and sorely regret not paying out the extra £40 and buying one this time. Ps. I forgot to mention the shocking quality of the MDF work top which has also started to swell and distort and it been kept in a perfectly dry environment (explain that one?). 19 Oct 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed Very disappointed, normally I rate Forge Steel very highly, this work bench has wobbly legs and can not be described in the least as ergonomic. 27 Jul 2015
