Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy When You Know How I am a complete amateur when it comes to DIY, but feel I should always have a go before calling the experts. Bought this connector after the seal on the old one split. Was easily able to reduce the length of the connection into the soil pipe; although with hindsight, probably wasn't necessary. First attempt at connecting to the toilet pan (without lubricant) failed; dislodged the rubber seal. Once I had found out how to get the seal back in place and learned that lubricant was the recommended way forward, the second attempt was a doddle. No leaks during testing. Can't vouch for durability over time; only recently installed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not fit for the job Never written a review on here before but this connector failed miserably. I am a plumber so know a good product when I see one. I bought this and it was actually white rubber internally, not black as depicted. Anyway, that aside, I bought this to replace an existing one at a customers address. The rubber internal collar fell out each time I tried to fit it, resulting in me having to take it apart to repair. After three attempts it went where it was most suited. In the bin!!! I'm staggered nobody has had this issue also, unless it was a faulty batch maybe. Love Screwfix, hate this item. Sorry guys.

In trying to fit to the toilet pan, the rubber sealing ring has become dislodged. How do I reattach it? Can the outer plastic ring be removed without breaking it?

Asked by: Casey61
Yes, the plastic snap cap that sits over the seal can be removed. Then the seal can be put back in place and the snap cap back over the seal. If you are not already then we would advise the use of silicone lubricant on the seal to help it push onto the WC.

How long is it (no dimensions shown)?

Asked by: Teslat
The effective maximum height is 179mm from the centre line of the WC to the top of the seal. This can be reduced by cutting the plastic spigot and replacing the rubber seal.

How do i remove the plastic cap so i can put the rubber seal back in that has become dislodged.

The toilet pan side black rubber seal has come out of its place and i read on here you can snap off the white plastic that surrounds it but how do i remove it so that i can put the seal back in its place ?
Asked by: Mmmmm888
The cap should just pull off by hand. You can then place the seal back into it housing and clip the cap back over the top.

SIze; how much of gap is required at the back of the toilet between the wall and the spigot to make this turn. My loo has a gap of 130mm is that enough ?

Asked by: HairBear99
The overall width of the SP103 is 171mm however there is an insertion depth of 54mm that the WC will push into the socket so you will actually need 117mm.

I am fitting a back to wall pan and this item is the right length from previous questioner, but I require one that has a horizontal reach of 150mm from the centre line of the down pipe to the front face of the seal to the pan. What is this dimension?

WCPanConFlexible 17529 just long enough when in situ but not long enough to make the connection before sliding back. Can 28262 cope with a 50mm misalignment plus some flex to make the connection before sliding back the pan?
Asked by: Neil27
The centre line of the SP103 WC pan connector to the front face of the seal is a maximum of 178mm. This can be shortened by removing the rubber seal with the fins and cutting down the pan connector then placing the finned rubber seal back as required.
