Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great chemical anchor Recently ran out of chemical anchor supplied on site so had to pop out to Screwfix for a couple of tubes of this. Does exactly what's required; sets rapidly and permanently. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff Have used it before and it is brilliant. Just remember that you need a special gun to use it, it doesn't fit a normal mastic gun

Can it hold a large flatscreen TV

Is this strong enough to hold Wall Anchors in a old Victorian masonry wall above a filled in fire place? As currently the hole just chips away and the Anchors just spin.
Asked by: Ellioth
Resin requires only threaded rods in a cleaned out drill hole that is only 2mm larger than the threaded rod. If used correctly into decent masonry it will hold around 150kgs per fixing

Once started

Once I've started using the resin does the whole tube need to be used in one go, or can I stop and come back to it later? i.e. does it cure in the nozzle? Thanks.
Asked by: Meatyard
Thanks for your enquiry. When you use the resin, Take the cap off the cartridge and fix the mixing nozzle, squeeze out about 50mm to ensure that it is a nice consistent grey colour, then use in the holes. Leave the nozzle on when you have finished (do not replace the cap) The resin will keep perfectly well until its expiry date. When you wish to use again simply replace nozzle and start again. Regards Technical.

is this product suitable for using in granite? If so what would the cure time happen to be?

Asked by: timbers
The FIS VT resin will be suitable if installed into a standard drilled hole (rough edges and not diamond drilled). However, please be aware that in some granite the resin can 'leach' into the surface which cannot be removed. We recommend a test on your stone in an unseen area where the resin can be left to cure for a while to see if this is the case. Curing is temperature based and is the temperature of the substrate. There is a table on the side of the tube - 10-20° = 5 minutes working time and 60 minutes to fully cured and ready for loading.
