Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw for price Moved into new house just before Christmas. Bought blinds to go up in all the windows cut ONE by hand what a faf it was so bought this saw to cut the rest of them went through the wood and metal like a hot knife through butter. **It cut up the turkey and ham a treat no more thin too wedge cut pices of meat for me anymore.** All jokes aside it's a great tool first time I have used one of these it did the job well for me the only issue for me was the clamp only clamps on the one side of the saw/blade because the motor is in the way but apart from that it's all good. I also bought a stand for the saw which I will do a review for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw, great price After much research and looking at other reviews I finally decided to purchase this saw. First impressions were really good, this saw was well packaged but easy to unbox and simple to assemble. A few very minor adjustments were needed to get it set up just right. The laser guide was the most obvious thing out of alignment initially but a little tweak and it is now spot on. Sliding mechanism is smooth and trigger handle comfortable and sturdy. The multi purpose blade has performed well although I mostly cut wood with mine. Saw is light enough to to be easily portable but feels solid when free standing. It's a shame the depth adjuster didn't have a bigger range to allow partial depth cutting but looks like it would be simple enough to modify. Mitre positioning is easy and accurate especially with dedicated stopping points for the most common angles I have built a mitre table/bench with this saw to extend the working surface area and allow me to comfortably cut 3m lengths as no side supports are supplied with this model. Overall I'm really impressed with this saw and look forward putting it to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice piece of kit Bought this to replace my old Faithful mitre saw which was starting to jam and make a noise. This new one is superb value and gives such a clean cut on the smallest beading. Only niggling problem ( prob my fault ) but I managed to cut off some of the metal back guard ! Other than that very good.

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. This machine is capable of cutting laminate but will depend on the size of the material. We always suggest when cutting laminate to do so faced down.

Smaller blade?

I want to change the blade to a finer cut blade, to one of the new BlackTip blades from Evolution. However the saw only takes a maximum of 210mm blade. The closest they sell are 216mm (which will be too big) and a 190mm. Will it be okay?

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry It is recommended that you use the 210mm blade on this machine. The manufacturers do a 210mm wood blade for this machine if that would help.
