Found assembly awkward but once assembled works like a dream. Not has good as a previous purchased machine but roughly half the price. one problem is the continuous turning over of the material being cut due to angle cuts being only on one quadrant of the cutting table. Overall a good product at a reasonable price.

I needed a saw with this spec for a job. I don't usually work with wood, more engineering than carpentry. Quick and easy to assemble but that's when the trouble began. Nothing was set up "true" so I started to calibrate as directed. The first problem I encountered was that the rear fence sections did not line up making a nonsense of the protractor readings. This was a problem in the aluminium casting and could not be corrected by adjusting the bolts. Then I discovered that there was considerable play in the sliding carriage making it near impossible to make identical cuts. Finally I noted that the turntable stands 2-3 mm higher than the in and out tables causing the wood to tilt upwards when downward pressure was applied or the clamp used.
I contacted Evolution who told me that the max tolerance for the turntable was +.5mm and I was advised to return the saw for an exchange. The store had one more in stock, already assembled and on display. And it had the same problems!.
I wish I could claim for the hours wasted on this. I do try to buy British if possible but with this degree of quality control I will be thinking twice in future.
