For DIY or small scale professional work this machine is very good value. It produces an accurate, smooth finish. The machine is sturdy and quite heavy because of the build quality, remaining portable but not light enough to move when operated. The dust extraction is pretty good. Changing from one function to the other takes only a little time and effort so if used intelligently is no great hardship - certainly not at this price.

i am a casual furniture maker/DIYer and this influenced the amount i was willing to spend, i wasn't expecting outstanding results for my money but boy was i blown away with this. A little setting up is required but nothing too complicated for even the most novice of people and you are ready to go. I salvaged some 70mm x 70 mm posts that were used as slithers for decking pallets and replaned them with the result being excellent with the posts completely square on all sides. I have used much heavier duty machines in the past and have to say this item stands up to them, obvoiusly the amount you plane off isnt as much as a hevier duty machine but it only takes the odd extra pass through to obtain the exact same result

This machine so far has been excellent for my jointing needs. Leaves a perfectly smooth finish which I'm actually surprised of!
Not as loud as I thought it would be but not quiet either. Gota spend a lot more money for an induction motored P/T so I'm not bothered about the noise at this price point. Neither am I bothered about the way in which you change from planer to thicknesser, yes it's fiddly but plan out your duties in advance and it's minor 5 minute gripe.
Bought this as a replacement for the Titan P/T I bought earlier that day. (Had to take the Titan back as the tables were not parallel to eachother so boards were coming out with a long curve cut in them instead of being straight!)
The tables on the Erbauer are perfect so Erbauer might have better quality control? Or I could've just been unlucky with the Titan I was sold as it has been praised by many on here.
For what it's worth the Erbauer is a better looking machine, it doesn't look out of place in my workshop against my other machines, the Titan looked a little toyish in my opinion, not that it matters if you get one that works obviously lol.
If you do buy either this or the Titan p/t make sure the tables run parallel to each other before setting it up as there's no adjustment for this problem on both machines.

just had this planer for a week but its great for dreesing timber, really good job in no time at all, it must be used along with dust extractor or it gets clogged up, but thats not a problem, just pipe it up and off you go, it gives a very good finish to my timber which i am using for picnic tables etc. the quality of the planer is very good for the price. reccomend
