The principle of the strip over other felted products is great. However, unlike the P Strip it is a softer seal, flimsy and would work much better if it was a rubber compound with substance and not a thinner compound similar to foam. The P strip is a different molded shape for larger gaps up to 5 mm. As a retired engineer the jury is still out for me.

This works well if you have gaps which are just a bit less than the height of the seal. If your gaps are tight, especially near the hinges, the force required to compress the seal and close the door is quire high. All compression seals have this problem.

I prefer the 'E' to the 'P' as it causes less problems if the space between door & frame is not generous.I had to rip some 'P' off as I could not close the door.Sticks well but if it does come loose somewhere I used all purpose glue(Bostick)to stick it back down....you cannot use pins to tack it down as they would not be any use against the soft rubber.Far superior to the foam & rigid plastic strips.Creates a good seal & lasts long.Just a warning if you do not use all of it,roll it up carefully & put it in a container......I just chucked my left overs in a shopping bag & put it in the garage;consequently when my dad need some & I went looking for it I found some of the paper backing had come off & it was not sticky in those places but I was still able to use it with glue. Also be careful with it the rubber is easy to damage/tear if you are rough with it.For bigger gaps I have stuck another strip on top of the first layer with no problems. On initial fixing you can reposition it if you move it straight away.Otherwise as long as the door frame is clean it is very quick & easy to apply(about 5 minutes each door),butting it up against the corner. Each door should use less than 5 metres,so 20m(£8)will do 4 doors. You do not even notice it is there, unless your frame is a colour other than brown or white-it is not suitable for painting.
