Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent grinder No problems with this little grinder so far, seems to be excellent value for what you get.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst tool ever I realise that this grinder is ridiculously cheap but it is, in my opinion, not fit for purpose. I used it for two days before it began to shake and vibrate violently. The motor has broken free from the stand, snapping the thin plastic holding the two parts together. It is now unusable. At 9 quid a day not so cheap.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Bench Grinder ever I read some good reviews about this product but when I got it home and set up I was very disappointed. As soon as anything touched the wheel it slowed right down to a standstill and was very reluctant to restart. Taking it back but will be purchasing a different brand.

Answer:
This has 36 and 60 grit wheels which are quite rough. So this would be able to quickly remove chips from a very badly damaged blade. It would also allow you to reshape a blade. However I don't think it would give a very sharp finish since the grit is too coarse.

Unfortunately we only sell buffering pads for 150mm angle grinders and not bench grinders.

Answer:
Not really, they are too coarse to produce a good edge. Something like the Scheppach would give a much better edge.

You could also use a whetstone to sharpen kitchen knives. That takes a bit of learning, practice and patience though.
