Rated 3 out of 5 by Burn put 1st one motor burnt out,(literally)exchanged in store ,2nd smells like its onway to burning out 21 Apr 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent bit of kit I bought this to chisel up some floor tiles after reading the reviews and I'm so glad I did. It was taking hours by hand, chiseling away, not to mention how tiresome it is, swinging a lump hammer and getting nowhere fast. I must have done about 2 square meters by hand before getting the SDS, the next day I ordered using click and collect and picked up straight away, 2 hours later my whole floor was up including the tile adhesive. Best decision I made purchasing this, now time to tackle that lump of concrete that I can't break up in the garden! 2 Apr 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent for the price Im now onto my second drill because the last one died after nearly a year of trade use. It was still under warranty so screwfix straight swapped it for a new one :-) For the price you can't complain. My only slight grumble is the drill bits supplied are a little on the short side and the box is cheap plastic. 19 Mar 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by poor product Bought this sds drill more than a year ago but used 3-4 times only for no more than 30 min each time. Today I had to use it and suddenly it stopped working. Some smell of burnt parts coming out. Checked the carbon brushes and both were completely worn and consumed. Cannot find the replacement for this brand so am going to buy some generic carbon brushes from ebay. Let's hope it works but this tool is rubbish! 13 Mar 2016

Lubrication

I've read the instructions which state to lubricate the chisel before inserting it into the chuck, but as there is a key to gain access to the gearbox, surely this also needs to be lubricated. Please could you advise.

Hello Percy. Please see the following extract from the instructions: '...this machine requires no special mechanical maintenance such as greasing the bearings... repairs must be carried out by a qualified technician'. Hope that helps.

will this do a one off job of coring 127mm or 152mm core in a brick + brick cavity wall for cooker hood extraction? is the clutch good enough if the diamond bits snag?

Please no suggestions of stitch drilling and chiseling as this is a 70 year old house and it will prob loosen brickwork
