Earthing is required to ensure the electrical safety of an installation and BS951 earth clamps are required by BS7671 which we are all required to comply with (including DIY electricians). I have used all these types of clamps and admittedly if you do not install them correctly it is possible to shear the bolts. However if you do install them correctly they should do the job and are reasonably priced. I have no problems with them and use them all the time.

I have bought several packs of these and the other type Screwfix sell, or used to at least..
The securing screw is far too easy to shear, even before the clamp is tight, and they are more fiddley to fit than others from propper electrical dealers. And they are no cheaper.
