Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best wireless controller. I have fitted quite a few of these both in domestic and commercial premises. Have to say is probably the best system you can get at this price giving weekend programming. Which is a feature many people overlook, it is about the only system I know of that gives that for this price. Easy to install, mains needed at the receiver and the closing contact wired to the boiler external control. The thermostat is then placed in a sensible place where. This is somewhere no affected directly by radiators, doors to outside or other rooms and windows and doesn't have the sun shining on it. If you get the correct spot, a learning curve for you will then determine what temperature needs to be set for your living space to be correct, this is not necessarily the temp set on the stat. Also bear in mind your boiler controller will now be set 'on' constant, this. Unit will turn off your heating, or on, given set times and temperatures, so for example your night time set point will be 10" meaning the heating will not come on during the night, (unless where the stat is drops to that temp). Use it a little thought and this system will give good control of your heating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't fault it! I bought this a few days ago to replace an old digital timer that gave up the ghost. The old timer allowed me to set on/off times but i had no real control over the temperature, meaning i'd regularly have to turn the boiler off/back on to keep things to comfortable temperatures. It took around an hour for me to fit, with the majority of the time taken trying to identify the wires connected to the old timer (No wiring diagram) to know where to connect to the receiver box, which is labelled and there are clear instructions provided. Once properly wired it was very easy to mount (rawlplugs and screws provided) the receiver box and also sync the receiver to the room thermostat. The Roomstat itself is a little confusing at first (only 4 buttons) but follow the instructions and play around with it for around 5 minutes and you'll know how to access all functions. It will work straight away in 'auto mode' but i opted to set my own timings and temperatures to suit my needs. the 5/2 day programmer option is perfect for my needs, working in the week and usually off on weekends. I'm really pleased with my purchase and think it will reduce my gas bills because the boiler hasn't been running for as long everyday since fitting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product but be aware ... My experience is that this thermostat is straightforward to install, set up, and use but remember that the receiver needs a permanent power supply. Programming is laborious rather than difficult. It controls temperature well and avoids the need that I had previously experienced to frequently override the programmer and thermostat settings, though it remains to be seen if this extra comfort and convenience will result in higher gas consumption. I give this the benefit of the doubt on reliability – it has been installed for only about 6 weeks. Potential buyers should, however, be aware that it can EITHER be used with the 3 pre-set (not user definable) programmes OR it can be used with a single user defined programme. It is NOT possible to set 3 user defined programmes and change between them as I had intended. Any user defined programme is lost when another of the programmes is selected. At first, I thought that this was a fault but when I rang Drayton customer services I was told that this is normal for this product. My subsequent letter requesting confirmation of what I had been told has not been answered after 4 weeks.

Will this replace a potterton 60E programmer

Hi I have a recently repaired potterton 60E but the prog timer has no memory (like me) and also no seperate thermostat. Can this be used to replace it? Thanks
Asked by: Hadderz
The Potterton 60E is a boiler and I cannot see that it has a timer fitted to it internally. If it has an external control it may have a twin channel programmer as it is not a combination boiler.

Can this be fitted to a Worcester boiler in place of a Worc MT10 time switch?

Asked by: Gavb06
The Digistat+3RF product is ideal in this case, but it will need to be wired into the dedicated external controls section of the boiler which will explained in the boiler manual. The D+3RF will NOT fit directly into the boiler in place of the MT10.

hi will this fit my glow-worm 24ci boiler and is it simple to fit?

Asked by: 4day
The D+3RF will work with this boiler. The receiver is an external control that will need to be wired to the boiler. It is a simple unit to fit for any qualified heating engineer

Is program lost after changing batteries

I have a Drayton +3RF wireless thermostat. Will I need to re-program the temperature profiles after changing the transmitter batteries? The instructions show how to change the batteries but do not address this point.
Asked by: GraD
Changing the batteries will not erase the set schedule. The batteries could be removed for a length of time but this will not effect the settings
