Dorma TS68 Overhead Door Closer Silver
Good closer so far
This is first door closer purchased so can't compare against others. However the instructions took a while to understand (a few words go a long way).
If you're fitting it to the opposite side to way the door opens towards (if the door opens outwards and the closer is on the inside) you can only have it set to EN2. This is what the additional bracket is for (the one in the picture).
You also cant use the template, you have to use the measurements from the other sheet.
If you mount the closer on the same side as the direction the door opens towards then the template is moved for either EN 2+3 or EN4 (EN4 is further from the door hinges). Then for EN 2 the bracket attached to the end of the strut is turned around the opposite way to EN 3 or 4.
Easy isn't it?
The fact this is my first closer purchase and that it was fitted to a door with no latch means I can't really compare with others or comment on adjustments. - It shut the door ok though and was easy to open the door with it fitted.

Dorma TS68 Door Closer
Great product does everything it's meant too.but only lasts two years before needing replacing.
Mechanism jams but for £21 I cant be bothered to mark out and fit a different one

Economical door closer
We have used a number of these as replacements in a school and consider them good value for money and easy to install. The instructions and template are simple to follow.
