These are the best drillbits I have ever had There is only one problem: You have to hide them as everybody wants to use them

I've mainly use these on mild steel and hardwood in combination with a Makita BHP451 18v combi-drill. Lovely bits. Unlike the punches I just reviewed, these do actually go through soft cheese, and soft wood, and hard wood, and mild steel. I haven't tried them on diamond yet, but you almost get the impression that they'd probably give a good attempt on that too.
If anything has to be the let-down, it would be the plastic box. Yes it's solid (very solid), but you need to shake the box downwards before opening, to stop the bits falling out, which feels so 1970s for that is otherwise a top-of-the-range premium product. The one refinement would be slightly rubberised holes to retain the bits without allowing sliding. If I find a more 'grippy' holding box I'll probably transplant the drill bits. The clip on the box itself is also very tight (too tight), but is single-acting, rather than double-acting and best levered opened with a screwdriver to save stubbing your fingers each time.
Full product code (not given in the description above) is DeWalt DT7926-XJ 476640-01.
nb. I had the 12 mm bit snap on the first outing with what looked like a moulding issue in the stem. Dewalt emailed me a replacement 12 mm bit in the post a few days later.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Pike Extremely good drills
These drills are very good - although I've only just started using the set I have just bought, I've used a collegue's set of the same for some time before. The self centring tips on the drills are very useful, eliminating the need for centre punching in most cases.
The drills themselves are of brilliant quality, and are very sharp - they cut well even in the hardest steel. As far as I can tell, these bits should last a long time before needing sharpening (which unfortunately will remove the unique tip of the drill point) and to prolong their life I use a cutting oil to cool the drills when in use.
Overall, I think these drill bits are well worth the cost - they should last a long time, and offer impressive performance!
