Had to open up a tiled work top to fit larger hob in. The best way to cut tiles is using a diamond cutter, however not suitable in a working kitchen due to the dust. I thought I would give it a try in my Bosch jigsaw. I took it slow on the slowest speed and it cut over two feet of 10mm thick tiles perfectly.
I would recommend this for small cuts, however you can't expect a small jigsaw blade to cut more than a few feet so if you need to cut a large amount you need a diamond disk.

Used this for a 3" cut in a standard ceramic tile, all went well. Tried to do another and after 2 minutes I'd got about 1 inch through. It was completely blunt.
Great if you only want to use it once.
