Rated 5 out of 5Â by wunnus Solid bit of kit
It feels solid to use. It did not falter once when cutting brick with a masonry cutter. I had watched someone else use a cutter many times and this looked just as easy. It was solid but it was not tiring or heavy. The motor just stepped up to the job and was not overheating, or giving off worrying burnt oil fumes. It was well priced and I still feel that it will work out cheaper than hiring.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by WillieF A great product from DeWalt
This angle grinder is a quality product. It is easy to use and has a vibration proof side handle which makes operating it much more comfortable. It is powerful but there seems to be very little kick back. Another real bonus is the long power cable which means it can almost always be used without an extension lead.
I am really pleased with this tool. It is another quality product from De Walt.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by GuyM FIne dust disappointment
I am repointing a 50m2 lime mortared stone wall that had been patch repaired using concrete. Bought this grinder to replace an ancient Ferma that died on me so that I could cut the mortar, hand pick out then using a mortar rake disc, fully chase out the joints. After use each day I was very careful to blow out all vent holes using a compressed air gun.
The grinder did a brilliant job. Soft start is excellent, well balanced in the hand, low vibration for a grinder ...........BUT after a few days I noticed that the gearbox was getting very hot. Ignoring the warranty and manufacturers instructions, I opened the housing to find that the grease was almost solid with fine dust and that there is no seal to prevent the ingress of dust.
Quick flush out with diesel, dry off and re-grease and the unit is going like a train again. I really like this grinder.....just wish it was properly sealed. If you need to use it in a dusty environment think carefully about the maintenance issue.

Bought this to replace an old, similar grinder that burnt out part way through a job. A quick look round on the internet came up with this. As I have several DeWalt tools already I was confident it would do the job and was proved right when I used it. Only time will tell if it's 5 star material but so far so good.
