Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice unit. I have fitted a few of these units over the years, reliable, 5 wire, easy installation, fully recommended and good price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just the job! Got this to replace an old timer that had failed on an even older boiler. The old one had a compatible baseplate, so all I had to do was set the Danfoss to a gravity fed system and 5/2 day schedule, and it plugged straight in - except the Danfosss intrudes slightly into the space within the backplate a little, so I had to rearrange the wiring I had there to allow it to fit. Not difficult to do though, then I just set the programming to my requirements and away it went. Too early to say how it is for reliability, but for the prices, I would expect to get a good number of years out of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from *E*X*C*E*L*L*E*N*T* We bought this to replace an old one of the same model number. Its great as we know exactly how to use it and we literally had to swap the old one for the new and didnt have to wire anything in, just click it on the same connectors. There have been several improvements since the old one - it automatically changes the time when the clocks got back/forward, and the main one is that the screen is now back lit, so we can now read it in the depths of the airing cupboard! it beeps when you press a button, and you can take it right out to change the settings if you want to as it had an internal battery. Excellent!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Longevity issue? I have had one from new for 3 years and it has now packed up.Searched on Google and came across others with same issue of blank screen. Can only be replaced. If I knew I could simply fix another make I would do so but may have to opt for another of these again!

Could this be used as a direct replacement for a TP9000?

Asked by: H2R1000
Hi, the TP9000 is a programmable room thermostat with a hot water channel, we have a direct replacement in the form of the TPOne-M. The FP715Si is purely a two channel programmer and has no integral thermostat.

How about temperature sensors, included?

Asked by: Mont
This is a programmer, for temperature control you would need one of the Danfoss TP ranges, these are programmable room thermostats. or to work in conjunction with the FP715, an RET1000 or RET2000 room thermostat would be recommended.

Danfoss FP715Si.........RF transmission?

My CH comes on at the same time as the HW even though the HW is switched off on the programmer and the set point on the thermostat is lower than the room temp. Changing the RF address code worked once before but not now.....any other ideas?
Asked by: Biro666
The FP715 is a programmer and not an RF Thermostat. It will only act as an on/off switch at the times set, other devices should be controlling temperature.

Replacing fp715 with fp715si, do I need to switch off the electric supply before swapping units?

Asked by: shaz4473
Yes, supply should be switched off at the mains before it is installed by a qualified electrician. Many Thanks
