This is a good product but in the photo it looks taller than it is wide. If I had checked the dimensions it clearly says 500 wide 310 high but, being a numpty, I didn't and have had to make modifications elsewhere to make it fit. Another lesson learned the hard way!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by legalman excellent water tank
Due to the limited loft opening I needed to find a suitable tank that would easily fit through the openeing. I needed to have 2 installed. Having researched these tanks they fitted my requirements entirley. The tanks came complete with all fittings etc. The only negative I found was the different size holes required and for the fittings and having to purchase special size hole saws to complete the job otherwise great product. Full firring instruction video on the manufacturers website was also helpful.

Cold Water Coffin Tank 25 Gallon 1390 x 500 x 310mm Product Code: 23238
I've purchased 3 of these (25gal) and linked them together to provide 75 gal total. That's only just enough to be confident with a pressure pump for your shower. I then configured these to have 2 ball valves, one at each end of the chain, for quicker fill.
I went for 25 gal rather than "squeeze in" 50 gal due to limited height between joists and rafters, rather than restrictions in access opening size. I wish I'd squeezed in 2 x 50gal tanks instead.
It's much better value to buy 2 x 50gal tanks. It would probably even pay for any loft access widening you may require.
Anyway, the thing that really lets it down (hence 1* for reliability) is the washer seat in the supplied ball valve. I've had two of these fail in the last 4 years. The tank is well insulated so it isn't a frost problem. It's just rubbish design/material. They appear much thinner than the replacements. And they fail in a big way - water gushing out of the overflow. And because of the size of my loft, its very difficult to replace them.
My advice is: replace the washer seats at the time when you instal the valves. They're cheap-as-chips. By 'seat' I'm referring to the white nylon conical shaped seat that the washer is pressed against.
I'm just off to plumbers merchants for new washer seats!
