I was in a jam trying to feed a cable through a boxed section where I didn't have clear access.
Having managed to get a probe through the 3 meter section, I was able to tow this tape back again. it fed though quite easy, but as the routing nada small section that was apparently a little tight for the cable being used I didn't have full confidence that the draw tape would handle that strong a pull, instead opting to first pull a 4mm single core through to work as a stronger pull line. However had there not been this small tight section, all would have been fine. Not bad for the price.

Totally useless for underfloor use. Just coils itself up as its too soft plastic. Better with the old steel band.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by fixerman ideal for outdoor trunking run
Ideal for running through long stretch of outdoor underground trunking - did the job instantly where pulling a replacement cable with cord got jammed. Good value for that job. Easy to store - just keep some cable ties handy when winding it back up after use to go back in its compact box.

I have had one of these for 10 years now and it has always worked well where the traditional dodge of a piece of wire coat hanger or welding rod proves inadequate. I have never needed anything like the 30m length provided and so have cut mine into different lengths. The material is quite strong nylon-like plastic but watch out for its tendency to coil itself into knots if you are not careful. Because of this, it is hard to direct in a straight line once it disappears into the cavity. Nevertheless every toolbox should have one.
