Can I safely use a brass hexagon nipple in a cast iron boiler?
My concern is that brass, having a greater coefficient of expansion that cast iron or steel, could crack a wood burner.
I've tried my best to find an answer to this question, but I can't be certain I'm afraid. Reading online it does appear brass fittings are being used on cast iron wood burners/boilers quite commonly, but I would have to recommend you consult an experienced trades person about this before you install.
Apologies we could not be of more assistance on this occasion.
Thanks for using Q&A
