Lets be clear but most people dont use these correctly. They are for cutting through the surface of a tile and thats it. I have used these for years with no issue by drilling through the surface with this bit and then changing to a normal masonary drill for the rest of the hole.
They last me months if used right.

Fine for drilling ceramic tiles, but it wouldn't touch the porcelain tiles in this bathroom. Had to spend the extra to go with a diamond bit.

I would first like to say that I am a great fan of Screwfix and use then regularly for my requirements.
I have had over the past year or so many occasions where I have had to drill 6 or7mm holes in porcelain tiles.Even being extremely careful the tips burn out very quickly and are then useless.I have had better results drilling for about 15 seconds at moderate speed then dipping bit in water, but even then I only managed one hole and about three quarters of another before it fell to pieces.
Dare I say it that a competitor does a different brand and style which are much better.Screwfix would be better stocking these.
